Who is Bella?

Bella is our class pet. She came to live with us last week and will only be with us a short time. She is helping us with a special activity for the Spears Carnival.

Your child will spend the day at school with Bella, who is a pig from the story If You Give a Pig a Party by Laura Numeroff. At the end of the day they will bring home a green folder and the book to read with you. I will take their picture together during the day. (In the past class pets have gone home for one night with each child. Due to all the illnesses going around school we have elected to keep the animals here with us and not send them home.) We are asking you read the story together and have your child draw their favorite part of the story and/or write about it. Everything you need will be in the green folder. Please remember to send the folder and book back to school the next day so another friend can take it home. The teachers will make a scrapbook of each class pet to be auctioned off at the Spears Carnival. The book and Bella will also be included!
