First Week of Kindergarten

We had a FABULOUS first week! I am so proud of my kindergarteners! Have fun looking for environmental print this weekend and I will see the kids Monday morning. Some of my literacy centers for the week include:

* studying the color RED (books to make, songs to sing, computer programs to learn)
* reading & writing words around our classroom
* learning about our 5 senses (poems, books, cutting & gluing activities)
* reading BIG books with friends
* matching upper & lower case letters
* AND MUCH MORE!!!

Welcome to Kindergarten!

Welcome to my first classroom blog! I will be posting information, pictures and other fun stuff this school year. I think this will be a great way for me to share your child's kindergarten experiences with you!

It was so exciting to meet all of you who were able to come to Meet the Teacher on Friday night. Thank you for filling out all the important paperwork! I loved meeting all of you and cannot wait to start school on Monday.
